Book Details
Most people, especially children, at some point begin to wonder about themselves critically, and self esteem begins to waver. Dr. Seuss tackles this issue with the invention of a young boy who takes his “wondering” to the extreme. In a boisterous tale which combines hilarity with a lesson in self-acceptance, Dr. Seuss weaves together one of the more important morals that children can learn. As the boy mentally invents for himself various mechanized and animal body parts, he weighs the good and bad of each. After deciding a use for each part, he then concludes that it would be too problematic to have. Finally, he determines that he was perfectly fine as himself already.
